The edge. For non landscape photographers there would seem no limit to Ailsa’s challenge. But for me it’s often the sky. I’ve picked one with no sky.
This greedy possum at the edge of his reach.
In 1974, I visited Uluru. This is about as close to the edge of Uluru you can get!
Talking about Close to the Edge, who could forget? (Well me anyway)
Some of my friends like to venture close to the edge. Here’s some examples:

Sunday Stills: Alcohol
I love the first beer more than any other beer. Fresh, crisp, friendly, bitter, golden, cold. The photograph below is of the first beer I was about to drink at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Trentham, Victoria at a friend’s birthday celebration last year. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon. For Sunday stills. Performing is Liz Frencham, a fantastic singer and bassist.
Travel Theme: Orange
Last year I travelled to Vietnam. I still have a memory of Hoi An and orangeness but it seems I did not manage to capture it. I loved Hanoi and have a submitted below a photograph of one of the many hard workers.I added a sunset because I like sunsets. For Where’s my backpack.
New title – same stuff. This beautiful dry forest is near where I live in Victoria Australia
Horizons for Ailsa’s travel theme
I am time poor at the moment and wish to post some horizon photographs out the millions I have. These will be linked to Where’s my backpack. All photographs taken at Port Phillip Bay, Victoria, Australia
Remnants of pier at Cleveland Point. Sunday Stills/Flashback
This photograph was taken in 1971 with Kodak 126 Instamatic. Quality poor but I knew what I liked. I added it for Sunday Stills
Port Phillip Bay Brown Fur Seals. Travel Theme/Endearing
Ailsa’s travel theme topic, Endearing, of Where’s my Backpack is not the easiest to mix with being regionally aware. Well for me anyway. Port Phillip Bay is a beautiful wild place right next to a big city. The Brown Fur Seals look endearing but do not smell endearing.
