Beyond Apollo Bay in Victoria, there is a fantastic walk. It’s wild and you can be your own for quite a long time. I love it. Cerulean

Where’d that tide come from? for Cee
Travel theme: Noise
I live with noise. I have had tinnitus now for 30 years. Thankfully I have learned how to turn it off. If I am with groups of people chattering, I have trouble discerning one conversation over another. If I am at a party, I just give up. The following photo represents when noise starts to bore me a bit.
But as Neil once sang, you can have beautiful noise. Russell Falls, Tasmania. For Ailsa
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Contrasting Colors
I love it in July when the Cootamundra Wattle (Acacia baileyana) starts to flower. Southern Australia does experience winter but it is not particularly severe. I’ve only seen snow where I live twice in 17 years. Having said that, it is still nice to notice something that heralds the end of winter. Every year I try to photograph it. I used to have more than 10 species of Acacia on my block but earlier this year we were hit by a devastating grass fire and I am down to 3. The good news is that fire is a wattle seed trigger so there are little wattles popping up all over the place. I’ll let them all go and keep the strong ones later.
One Word Photo Challenge: Carmine – Hanoi Temple
True carmine was a little hard to find. I think the Temple of Literature in Hanoi fits the bill.
Sunday Stills: Clouds
I wanted to submit my photograph of anti crepuscular rays caused by clouds, but could not locate it.
I have another view of a dramatic storm cell taken on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. Added for Sunday Stills.
Travel theme: Merchandise
Ailsa‘s post this week brought back memories of visiting markets when I am travelling. I am not a big visitor; most merchandise being usually of no interest to me. I have taken the odd photograph at these places.
And also
and I ve never seen so many curries lined up like this
One Word Photo Challenge: Livid
Up until this morning the word livid meant ‘furiously angry’ to me. I’m no photojournalist, so I don’t have any like that. I think I have found one for the colour, however.
Cee’s odd ball Photo challenge : Week 27
