This River Red gum ( Eucalyptus camaldulensis) grows near my workplace. It usually has very large heavy branches which, in drought, are dropped; usually in very calm weather. They were aptly nicknamed “Widow makers” . They are beautiful trees and have a beautiful bark. This old tree has been trimmed heavily to protect us from its vagaries. It also has a plastic collar to prevent possums from damaging it more. This one has a twisted pattern in its bark which can be seen in every branch. For Cee’s Bark and Leaves
