The slow climb of Uluru back in 1974. This is no longer encouraged.
Slow trade in a fast city, Hanoi, and below a nice slow paddle in my kayak, with a book would go down well here, Lake Eucembene, NSW. See other slow photos here

Part of me regrets not getting to Uluru when it was considered OK to climb the rock. I still haven’t been but I would respect the cultural sensitivities now.

It was a desolate rock landscape with the view always being distant, because you could never be near the edge. I do not regret climbing Uluru, or Ayer’s Rock as it was called then, but I have been to many more spectacular places, in terms of views. The best views of Uluru are when you are not on it. Not long after we visited, a Japanese tourist fell to his death, so it is a little dangerous to climb as well.

I recognised your first shot immediately. I was there in Autumn, 1975 and will never forget the experience. Great shots for the challenge
