Australia Day 2015
Express yourself
Singing and playing music is a fantastic way to express yourself. What an amazing relief it gives. Added for Word press’s express yourself. See more here
Travel theme: Industry
The western suburbs of Melbourne is home to a large proportion of heavy industries
My industry involves using strange glassware like these. For those interested, these are kuderna danish flasks, which are used for concentrating a solvent in a fast but controlled manner over boiling water.Tourist industry in Hanoi hangs on the selling of cheap clothing. I walked in the opposite direction to see the more local industries.
Added for Ailsa’s Industry theme. See more here.
Sunday Stills challenge: Night shots II
Share Your World – 2015 Week #3
Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?
Most certainly not someone famous. It would be all about them. I’d like one of you bloggers out there. A kind of lucky dip! Jo would like Johnny Depp. There’s an answer.
When did you last sing to yourself? To someone else?
I can’t sing first thing in the morning because everyone’s asleep. Last night I did. Of course there’s always a song going in my head. The current one is “Anytime at all” by the Beatles. I last sung to someone else on Saturday with the Tangleweeds
If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be?
I would like the ability to stay focussed, and like it.
What, if anything, is too serious to be joked about?
Nothing is too serious to be joked about. When, how and why are other questions with not necessarily the same answer.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am grateful that my son got a placement in a University to continue his studies. I am looking forward to going to our beach caravan setup next week.
Sunday Stills, the next challenge: Night Shots
Travel theme: Mischievous
You can be assured, there was a bit of mischief going on here. For Ailsa’s travel theme Mischievous
Serenity
I could not help be reminded of the fantastic 1997 Australian film “The Castle” which may be lost on non-Aussies. I have not enough serenity in my life lately, so this theme could not be more timely. I have many serenity photos, so it was a struggle to decide which one, or more, to add. One it will be though. The serene Lake Eucembene in the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, Australia.
