When travelling to any developing country, you will always experience an abundance of handmade goods. Their workmanship, or should I say in most cases, workwomanship, is what interests me. We must not forget how to make things; the Chinese are possibly not always going to be there making things for us; soapbox moment over. Here is some photos taken in Chiang Mai at a touristy umbrella making factory. It was a pleasure to visit there. Added for Ailsa’s travel theme: handmade.
Nice visit to Chiang Mai. I like a bit of soap box.
