A public holiday for a horse race – why not? I spent some of it in the garden, mainly cutting grass as I have quite a lot of it. But I noticed this callistemon that I had never seen in flower before. I dropped everything and ran in to grab the camera.
It is so beautiful.

I do love that flower and they are great photos of them.
Any reason for a public holiday sounds like a good one … even a horse race 🙂

A horse race? Well…why not. Public holidays are welcome. And your callistemon is gorgeous. I once had one as a pot plant, but it did not survive the winter up here north. Too dark i guess. I will have to enjoy yours instead.

Thank you Leya, the horse racing season is loved by many. I’m not a fan, but I love the day off, and since it’s Tuesday, many people have Monday off too!

Your callistemon is a lovely colour. I’ve only seen red one’s here in Tassie.
