Do you dig the 50 cent coins out first? I know a couple of folk ( A & M) who take the whole lot and fed them into the self service checkouts in Coles and Kmart. Fun but slow.
Its a silly idea- but I hate those self check out things. So holding up proceedings while you fed the coins in is the fun bit. You get to convert the shrapnel into toilet paper, for example. Uncle Andrews idea.
Perhaps a sabotage supermarket self check outs movement could focus on paying for laden shopping trolleys with 5 cent coins. If members shopped together, the supermarket might be forced to retain more checkout staff.
Apparently ( I don’t believe them) Coles are already starting staff more checkouts, as the public have complained about the self check outs. This has come about, they claim, as a method to differentiate them from Aldi and Woolies.

No, I collect all the nickel plated shrapnel and take them to the machine and turn it all into numbers. Maybe the Coles idea is a good one.
