My son Gabriel was born in 1992. He was born 5 weeks prem. He spent 5 hours of his first day being operated on and then 5 weeks in hospital. He has had many operations since.
We left our run a little late and could not give him a little brother or sister. We love him very much.
What can I say? Our children are the most precious people in our lives. Our life journey with them from infants to adults is the most incredible experience full of emotions from both ends of the spectrum!! I love this photo journey you’ve shared with us … especially the one where he is asleep in his chair with his bottle ❤
You have a handsome young man on your hands! 🙂

Thank you Joanne. We think he is wonderful too, but we are little biased. Your experience of two handsome, intelligent boys I know has enriched your life like our boy has ours.

I’m pretty biased too. It’s a wonderful thing that a parent can feel that way about their offspring 🙂

We’re all biased and proud parents! As we should be. Mick, nice to learn a little more about you and your family. My daughters are a year or two either side of Gabriel. I get a whole new sense of pride seeing them living independent lives as young adults. We must have done something right:}

Thanks Ruth. Your girls must derive that independence from you, I think. I know you miss them, especially the one in England. I admire your ability to do what you’re doing. You are a gutsy lady.

Such kind words Mick. Yes we miss then, but technology helps. Some weeks I chat to C~M in London more than when we lived in the same house and left notes in the kitchen for each other 🙂
